Thanks for this wonderful share Kim. Jon's talent is uplifting at a time we all need it. Hopefully everyone who listens to him sends a prayer for Suleika❤️

I love John Baptiste and have seen him in person in his early years: a wonder.

Wow Mary. That must have been something to see someone in their burgeoning talent. Did you recognize at the time? Or has he grown into it even more? Did he always have that incredible stage presence?

I'm so glad to hear it. Congrats on the second go-round of your memoir. I'll be able to say, "I remember when...." once you are a published memoirist and they're making your life into a movie. ;)

I will share that I discovered Jon’s rendition of Fur Elise on Instagram and was blown away, instantly sharing the song with everyone and anyone who could, would and most definitely, should listen—and feel—his music. Way way deep down inside your soul. Sheesh, what a talent. Happy to see that you hear and feel what I do. Happy holidays to you.

Right??? It was so deep.i had to edit my post because of how many times I repeated “deep, deep, deep.” But that’s the word of the day when you listen to the album. No escaping it.

Happy holidays to you too Charlene. Nice to see it wasn’t only me. I suspect there will be a world full of us. Thank goodness. 🤍🩷🤍🙏

He is an incredible musician. I agree - it shouldn't matter what kind of music you like to understand that about him.

Yes, I did. It was my introduction to both of them a year ago. Masterful. Powerful. Raw. Just goes to show you, doesn't matter how much fame or fortune--at your highest high, you can also be experiencing your lowest low. Likely why his music is so touching and deep. You feel the raw chord he's touching in himself when he plays.

And I love that he worked with Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross (Nine Inch Nails) on SOUL…and they all won the Oscar. It was Trent and Atticus’ second (they won for THE SOCIAL NETWORK, and were robbed for GIRL WITH THE DRAGON TATTOO). They both stepped aside and let Jon take the light. xo
